DUNOZI
Born from a Promise

In January 2019, during a research stay in the village of Kolowaré, Togo, Céline, the founder, discovered the devastating impact of malaria in this region. Behind every woman she met was a story of loss, often that of a child taken by the disease. One local woman, Esther, asked her to promise to return and create a project on site.
The Birth of Dunozi
That conversation marked a decisive turning point. From this promise, Dunozi was born (“We are together” in Kotokoli, the local language) a Belgian-Togolese partnership with the mission of offering an effective, local, natural, and sustainable solution against malaria through the powerful medicinal plant Artemisia.
Concrete and Human Results
Just two months after that encounter, the team was formed, and half a hectare of Artemisia began cultivation. In six years, more than 12,600 people have been treated for malaria, and malaria-related admissions at the Kolowaré health center have drastically dropped. Since then, Dunozi has received hundreds of testimonials, each one moving and inspiring.
A Collective Adventure
To structure and support the project, we founded the non-profit organization “On est ensemble” (We are together) in Belgium. Six friends - sharing values of social justice, ecology, autonomy, and respect for local practices - joined forces around Dunozi. Together, and alongside Togolese leaders, they co-manage the project, raise awareness about Artemisia’s benefits, and organize events to ensure its long-term sustainability.

WHY ARTEMISIA?
Because Artemisia is the only known plant in the world that can, on its own, cure a deadly disease: malaria.
Because even today, malaria kills half a million people each year worldwide - that’s one person every minute.
It is urgent to act, especially when we already hold in our hands a solution that is:

Scientifically
proven and
2 to 10 times CHEAPER
FREE FROM
SIDE EFFECTS
STRENGTHENS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM
ECOLOGICAL
100% natural
treatment, local and organic production
Eliminates the parasitic load entirely → EXPONENTIAL REDUCTION OF MALARIA
Aligned with local health traditions
Also effective against bilharzia, and used for fever, cough, digestive issues, hypertension, and diabetes
96% EFFECTIVE
OUR CONCRETE ACTIONS
After more than four years cultivating and distributing Artemisia, our project has evolved towards knowledge transmission. For the past two years, we have been training around 150 people annually, from about ten villages, to cultivate and use this precious plant. By placing community autonomy at the heart of our mission, we multiply the local impact.
Our main activities include:
🌱 Training in the cultivation of Artemisia afra: organic farming, with a strong focus on composting.
🌱 Training in harvesting: cutting, drying, processing, packaging, and preventive/curative use of Artemisia.
🌱 Post-training support: reinforcement, follow-up, adaptation, and evaluation.
🌱 Awareness-raising on natural health: hygiene and prevention.
🌱 Cultivation of Artemisia afra by our own team.

We are also part of the global network of the “Maisons de l’Artemisia”, ensuring ethical and ecological traceability. This network is active in 130 locations across 28 countries, bringing together doctors, researchers, and agronomists to share knowledge and spread Artemisia responsibly and effectively to fight malaria and other diseases.
"One day, Mr. Aimé asked me to become an Artemisia distributor. I had just returned from the hospital with malaria. I was pale, my eyes tearing, and holding a pile of expensive medicines. He asked me to put them away, and we prepared the tea, which I drank at 1 p.m. I doubted it, but I finished a big cup. At 6 p.m., he came back to see me, and I was already serving the tea to my customers. With a big smile, I told him: ‘It’s incredible… Your product is a miracle… I am cured!’ Since then, I’ve become a distributor and will never stop being grateful."
Mr. Abdermane,
Café owner in Sokodé
"My children always suffered from malaria, often missing school. But since we started harvesting Artemisia, my daughters no longer miss class. They also recover quickly whenever they fall ill and I give them the tea. I stopped going to the hospital. Thank you so much!"
Mr. Dermane,
Elder of the chief of Dibidè
"For years, I spent all my money on medicines to treat malaria. One day, my neighbor told me about Artemisia. I agreed to try, though I didn’t really believe in it. After just a few hours of drinking the tea, the fever was gone, and I could return to my market work. Today, I always keep Artemisia at home and recommend it to everyone. For the first time in my life, I feel free from malaria.”
Madame Awa,
Shopkeeper in Tchamba
"My son fell ill almost every month because of malaria. We went to the hospital so often that I had to borrow money for treatments. When I discovered Artemisia, I made the tea for him. In two days, he regained his strength and was playing again as if nothing had happened. Since then, the whole family takes it at the first signs, and we no longer suffer as before. It’s truly a blessing.”
Mr. Kossi,
Farmer in Kideoude
